MAKE IT HAPPEN IN THE PHILIIPINES is the Philippine Board of Investment (BOI) campaign slogan to promote foreign investment in the country.

Asahi Networks agrees with this slogan. For its part, it recently hosted its Japanese Partners to the Philippines for a three-day visit in August 2023. Delegates of Asahi Tax Corporation from Tokyo, Sapporo, Sendai, Takasaki, Yokohama, Osaka and Okayama participated in the hopes of seeing the potential of Philippines as an investment hub for them and their client’s respective businesses and how they can bring unique business cultures from various backgrounds into the Philippines.

Asahi’s Partners and delegates paid a courtesy visit to the Bureau of Investment (BOI) of the Philippines, and had an opportunity to meet with the BOI’s International Investments Promotion Service Department: Executive Director Ms. Eries Cagatan, Director Ms. Lanie Dormiendo, Supervising Investments Specialist Ms. China Pring, Investments Specialist Ms. Divine Gulapo and other team members on August 31, 2023.

The BOI itself personally conducted an investment briefing which covers business insights on areas of investments, the perks or entitlements available to Japanese investors investing in the Philippines and many more. Asahi shared Japanese potential and existing investors’ point of view and asked for consultation on certain issues. This surely resulted in a productive and insightful discussion.

It was a fun and most importantly great learning experience from both Asahi Networks’ Japanese Partners and BOI itself, reinvigorating all participants in the process. This led to Asahi Networks renewed commitment to explore business opportunities in the country and continued support in promoting investments in the Philippines. Indeed, it will Happen in The Philippines!
